About CSA
History of CSA |
Comprehensive Survival Arts (CSA) was founded in 1972 by Douglas Lake. Douglas started studying the Martial Arts as a teenager and quickly became a dedicated student of the arts. He studied Bando, Karate, Kickboxing, T’ai Chi, and many other styles over his years of training. Douglas practiced a variety of styles and wanted to start a school where, under one roof, students could learn the best of many styles and find the right fit for them. Douglas trained his daughter, Jennifer Lake, and turned the school over to her 15 years ago. Together they have expanded the school and proudly teach thousands during the year. CSA has been at the JCC for over 24 years and has consistantly worked to help students gain: Martial Arts skills, improved fitness, confidence, discipline, respect, and more.
